Determined to Be Prepared is an early learning and academic enrichment program supporting young learners and the families who advocate for them.
Our approach
Small, specific, consistent work — done well.
Early skills are not optional extras. Letter sounds, number sense, vocabulary, and the ability to stay with a task are the foundation everything later rests on. When those pieces are shaky, school gets harder every year.
We work in short, focused sessions built around one child's real profile. Each plan names what we are strengthening, how we will practice it, and what progress will look like when it arrives.
Families are part of the plan, not an audience for it. You will always know what we worked on, what we noticed, and what to practice before next time.
Prepared
Preparation is a skill. We teach children how to arrive ready — materials out, attention set, willing to try the hard part.
Capable
We start where the learner actually is, then move deliberately. Confidence follows competence, not the other way around.
Supported
Coaching does not stop when the session ends. Families get summaries, practice ideas, and a direct line to the coach.
